  Literatures is hosting a welcome back event for undergraduate students. Th
 is is an opportunity to connect with your peers\, faculty\, and staff in th
 e department. Whether you are currently a Major\, Minor\, or Honours studen
 t in our programs\, or are thinking of becoming one\, please register to jo
 in us!</p><p style="font-weight: 400\;">This welcome back event will featur
 e short presentations from the EL&L Undergraduate Head\, Dr. Miguel Mota\, 
 The English Students Association\, and The Garden Statuary\, UBC's Undergra
 duate English Journal. The formal portion of the event will be followed by 
 boardgames\, button-making\, and a trivia quiz.</p><p style="font-weight: 4
 00\;">Do you tend to feel drained from socializing? We have you covered! Fo
 r those who still want to attend but need a quiet space to decompress\, the
  Faculty Lounge next door will be made available as a low-sensory space.</p
 ><p>Light refreshments will be provided.</p><p><em>Students are welcome to 
 attend whether they register or not. However\, please let us know you are c
