Information Session for UBC English PhD Co-op program
Are you interested in paid, full-time employment that may inform your dissertation research? Have you thought about how sites of knowledge outside the traditional academic sphere might influence your scholarly work?
Do you want to work with people who care about the same topics, themes, and issues that underlie your research—from eco-poetics to digital humanities?
If so, please come to the information session for the UBC English PhD Co-op program on Monday Sept 9 at noon in BuTo 321.
The UBC English PhD Co-op program was founded in 2013 to allow doctoral students to experiment with alt-ac work. Since then, we’re finding that co-op can provide opportunities both for students who don’t want to pursue the tenure-track—and for students who do want to stay in academia.
If you’re curious, please join us for this one-hour information session. Questions can also be sent to Letitia Henville at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for applications to the PhD co-op program is Oct 10 2019. Information about eligibility, application process, etc, are available on the Arts Co-op website.
