Planning Canada’s Biggest Conference, Congress 2019



UBC will host the 2019 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences (June 1-7), the largest interdisciplinary conference in Canada, and one of the largest in the world. The annual event brings together over 70 academic associations that represent a rich spectrum of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. The theme for Congress 2019 is “Circles of Conversation” which will showcase the excellent learning and research activities taking place at UBC. At the helm organizing for this major conference is Dr. Laura Moss. As the Academic Convenor, Dr. Moss will play a crucial role in the successful academic planning, multidisciplinary programming, and hosting of the conference.
