About
I am a first-year PhD student who lives, learns, and works on the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sʔəl̀ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. My writing and research focus on embodied narratives of racial trauma, generational exhaustion, debility, and chronic illness. My proposed project draws from a range of critical frameworks including but not limited to decolonial feminist thought, racial capitalism studies, sick woman theory, crip and queer theory, affect theory, sleep and dream studies, and autotheory.
I hold an MA in South Asian Studies from SOAS The University of London, where I wrote my master’s thesis on the ethics of witnessing, maternal sexual abuse in communities of color, and the ways in which we experience our mothers.
