About

I’m a first year English MA student with a previous educational background in journalism and a BA in Honours English, Literature Emphasis and Honours Philosophy with High Distinction from the University of British Columbia. My areas of research interest include digital humanities, media studies and book history, and the Medieval, Early Modern and Victorian periods. I intend for my thesis to examine the ways in which technologies over history have changed and challenged our understanding of storytelling, with a special focus on the ways in which embodied and disembodied reading practices have impacted our relationships to text. I am serving on the Social Committee and the Conference Committee with the English Graduate Caucus this year, and look forward to creating opportunities for my peers and encouraging social connections. Outside of my academic pursuits, I have a career in marketing and communications.
