Event 1: Mastering our MA Application – a panel discussion

With Dr. Suzy Anger, MA Coordinator, UBC English and recent UBC English grads: Ana Maria Fernandez (Cambridge), Christine Xiong (Stanford), and Sophie McNeilly (Toronto)
Are you applying to an MA in English or are thinking about applying, but have questions about what’s involved in the process of doing so? How do I choose the right program? How do I compose my Statement of Intent? How do I approach my teachers for letters of reference? These and other questions will be answered by a panel of faculty and former UBC English students—all of them currently in graduate programs in Canada, the USA, and the UK.

Bring a draft of your SSHRCC proposal to this session to receive feedback from fellow applicants, grad students, grant holders, and faculty!
