We thank Dr. Nathan Hensley (Georgetown University), the first visitor in our department’s speaker series for his fantastic talk, “J.M.W. Turner’s Burning World” yesterday, October 2.

On October 3, Dr. Hensley will also be visiting with the STS (Science and Technology Studies) community.

Dr. Hensley’s areas of specialization include Victorian literature, art theory and visual culture, and the histories of empire and environmentalism.  See http://www.nathankhensley.net
