To mark the beginning of another academic year, the Department of English Language & Literatures is hosting a welcome back event for undergraduate students. This is an opportunity to connect with your peers, faculty, and staff in the department. Whether you are currently a Major, Minor, or Honours student in our programs, or are thinking of becoming one, please register to join us!
This welcome back event will feature short presentations from the EL&L Undergraduate Head, Dr. Miguel Mota, The English Students Association, and The Garden Statuary, UBC’s Undergraduate English Journal. The formal portion of the event will be followed by boardgames, button-making, and a trivia quiz.
Do you tend to feel drained from socializing? We have you covered! For those who still want to attend but need a quiet space to decompress, the Faculty Lounge next door will be made available as a low-sensory space.
Light refreshments will be provided.
